Governor Kevin Stitt and Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell unveiled the new brand for the State of Oklahoma.
"Imagine That" is Oklahoma's new branding campaign tagline.
Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell went through a list of information about the state of Oklahoma during the press conference.
Lieutenant Governor Pinnell went on to speak about the logo for the new branding, which includes a white start in the center as a symbol of America. The star is outlined by chevrons that represent the state's military.
Lieutenant Governor Pinnell explained that "ok.gov" is now "oklahoma.gov" saying, "We are done with saying "OK"! We are done saying it. We still own OK.gov and you will be redirected to Oklahoma.gov."
Lieutenant Governor Pinnell explained that when people cross state lines people will be greeted with new "Welcome to Oklahoma" signs.
A committee of over 100 state-wide volunteers has been working on this project for over 9 months.
State officials say the purpose of the new brand is to make Oklahoma more attractive for tourists, businesses and our citizens.
Lieutenant Governor Matt Pinnell joined 2 Works For You, live in studio, to go more in-depth about the new initiative.
