Internet Crimes Against Children Detectives make arrest in Sperry

Members of the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations Task Force, a Tulsa Police Child Crisis Detective and Cyber Crimes Detective recieved a tip about a 15-year-old female communicating with a 42-year-old male in Sperry using the internet.

The messages exchanged between the two suggested that the juvenile female and adult male had a sexual relationship.

Detectives with the Tulsa Police Department Child Crisis Unit and Cyber Crimes Unit were able to locate the victim.

With the help of OSBI ICAC Agents, FBI Task Force Officers, and Homeland Security Investigations Task Force Officers and Agents, an Osage County Search Warrant was executed at the adult male’s residence.

Authorities were able to collect several items of evidence at the residence.

The suspect, Thomas Daughtry, was arrested and booked into the Osage County Jail.

He is being charged with 2nd degree rape, lewd proposal to a minor, lewd proposal to a minor using technology, and violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
