Jay schools off lockdown; no credible threat

JAY, Okla. – Jay Public Schools issued a precautionary lockdown Friday after a threatening post was found on Facebook.

According to Jay police, a parent posted on Facebook saying they were going to shoot up the school because their child was being bullied.

The precautionary lockdown was issued as police searched for the potential suspect.

Jay police say they were able to locate the person who made the post and, together with Jay Public Schools, decided that the threat was not credible.
