JENKS, Okla. — Jenks City Council voted to approve a citywide mask ordinance Tuesday evening.
During a meeting at Jenks City Hall, council members approved the new ordinance with a 4-3 vote.

The ordinance mandates the use of face coverings with specific exceptions, and it will stay in effect until Jan. 31, 2021. This comes after coronavirus cases continue to rise in the city of Tulsa and the state of Oklahoma.

Anyone refusing to wear a mask could be fined up to $200.
