BROKEN ARROW, Okla — The sixth annual Kristin Chenoweth Broadway Boot Camp is opening a national casting call auditions.
Organizers say Ms. Chenoweth and a team of A-list Broadway professionals will help dedicated and talented students.
If selected, students will have the opportunity to learn audition techniques, stage movement, and will include direct one-on-one instruction from Broadway, film, and stage industry professionals at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center.
One lucky student from the boot camp will be chosen to attend the Oklahoma City University High School Musical Theatre Camp at the end of June for ten days with all tuition waived.
Organizers say the casting call is open for students who are in the 8th through 11th grade.
The audition will take place via video audition submissions.
Any student who will be in 9th through 12th grades in the school year of 2020 through 2021 can audition.
Students are required to prepare one musical theater piece no longer than one minute and a one-minute dramatic monologue.
Students must bring a performance resume, audition application, and a headshot.
Officials say there are only taking a limited number of students, and the cost to attend the camp is $600 for students residing in Oklahoma and $2500 for those out of the state.
The Broadway Boot Camp will take place June 7-13, 2020 at the Broken Arrow Performing Arts Center.
All requested material must be turned in by Feb. 14 by 5 p.m.
