OKMULGEE, Okla. — The prayer list of an Okmulgee church is a little longer. Concharty United Methodist prays for whoever stole their lawnmower, one they spent at least $4,000 on.

“It’s just the idea that it’s gone, that is something that we really need,” Jerry Wilson, Concharty church member, said.”

After making a drive-by property check at the church, Wilson realized the lawn mower was gone Wednesday night.

Wilson said, “I drove around there, I seen the locks was gone.”

The missing mower is a Hustler 54 inch Fastrack with a serial number of 17065957 and a model number of 933432.

“We had two lawn mowers, they took the newest one,” said Wilson.

There is a surveillance camera at the church, but a month-long timespan between when they saw the mower last and when it was discovered missing. Church members review the footage, however, have not seen anything suspicious, yet. They pray for whoever is responsible.

“We have to forgive and keep on going,” Wilson said.

Their plan now is to put up a gate, for extra security, while Lighthorse Police investigate.
