NORMAN — The NFL Combine begins this week and nobody will be more talked about than Sooners' Heisman winner Kyler Murray.
But if that banter goes negative - well, Sooners head coach Lincoln Riley and former head coach Bob Stoops are not here for that.
Both coaches went to Twitter to defend Kyler and his father Kevin after reports surfaced that Kevin Murray said "Kyler is calling the shots of his own career."
Couldn’t be further from the truth..in 3 yrs coaching him, not 1 conversation with Kevin about ANYTHING football-related..turned out decent-

This kid gave up more than what people would ever believe for 1 reason-
His love of this game

Speculated news, with no basis. During Kyler’s recruitment & transfer..Never was there an issue from Kevin where Kyler’s career was concerned. In Fact, One of our first interactions happened by chance post game last season. #Facts
