After Hollywood star Matt Damon was seen around Oklahoma in early June, a new report says the actor will be starring in a new film titled "Stillwater."
According to Variety, the movie "follows an American oil-rig rough neck from Oklahoma, played by Damon, who travels to Marseille to visit his estranged daughter who is in prison for a murder she claims she did not commit."
In the film, Damon's character, Bill, makes it his personal mission to exonerate his daughter, Variety says.
The movie will be directed by Tom McCarthy, who previously worked with Damon in Oscar-winning drama "Spotlight."
