MAYES COUNTY, Okla. -- A Mayes County Sheriff's Office employee has been fired after officials said he stole illegal drugs from evidence for his own personal use.
The Sheriff's Office received a tip on July 2 that an employee, Brett Mull, was possibly involved in illegal activity.
The Sheriff's Office said that after an investigation, within 24 hours, they had evidence to back up the allegation and a confession from Mull.
The district attorney is in the process of filing charges in the case.
