McAlester Police: Man Arrested In Connection To Wife's Homicide

MCALESTER, Okla. — McAlester police are investigating after police say a man shot his wife.

Police say around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night, officers responded to a call near West Taylor Avenue and North F Street. Police say a man stated he had shot his wife.

When police arrived, they found the victim, 37-year-old Catrina Pope fatally shot.

Police say Jonathan Tubbs was arrested in connection to the incident at the scene.

McAlester Police Department says this investigation is still early and ongoing. Police say Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is assisting with this investigation.
