More than 500,000 cfs coming out of Robert S. Kerr Lock and Dam

SEQUOYAH COUNTY — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is letting out 546,000 cubic feet of water per second at Robert S. Kerr Lock & Dam Reservoir in Sequoyah County, which is more than 4 million gallons of water.

These pictures were sent in by Maddox Mayo, and they show the lake level is nearly the same as the Arkansas River it's draining into.

All of this water snakes through the southern part of the county and into Fort Smith, Ark.

Right now, that city is dealing with entire neighborhoods flooding, according to the Northwest Arkansas NBC affiliate, KNWA.
