We are learning more details about the Arizona mother accused of killing her three children.
22-year-old Rachel Henry moved from Prague, Oklahoma to Arizona.
A friend of Rachel says she went to school to be a nursing assistant so she could support her kids.
"Why didn't I know," said Pearl Rebolledo, the children's great aunt. "I don't know how did I not notice. I don't know."
Rebolledo says she never could've imagined what was happening just a few feet from her inside this home on Monday.
"We we're here and we had no idea," Rebolledo said.
She and her nephew, the father of the three little kids, were in the home.
Rebolledo says she was in her room, the father was napping on the couch.
The mother, Rachel, said she was putting her babies down for a nap.
"I'm not a monster. Those types of things don't cross my mind. I still can't imagine how she could've done this to her own children," Rebolledo said. "Why would I ever think that she would've done something to them? There's no reason."
Rachel confessed to smothering all three kids. Court documents say she laid them out in the living room couch to make it look like they were sleeping.
"I can't imagine what made her do that," Rebolledo said. "How would she do that? She's the mother. She took their lives."
In court, an attorney for the state said Henry had a history of drug addiction... And that her kids had previously been removed from her home because of it.
"When people who use drugs don't kill their kids. You know? I mean, it's not a good thing but who does that?," Rebolledo said.
Henry's family moved to Phoenix in June..
She's facing three counts of first-degree murder and is jailed on a $3 million bond.
