The mother of the man shot and killed in Jenks over the weekend is pleading for anyone to come forward with information about her son’s murder.
Jenks Police found Johnathon Weatherford shot on the railroad tracks last Sunday between a cul-de-sac and the high school campus.
Police said he died at the hospital.
Weatherford’s mother, Dee Simpson, who lives in Florida is trying to get all the information she can while living half way across the country.
“I would love to know exactly what happened. It’s really hard to say goodbye when you don’t know. it’s hard to say goodbye to any kid without knowing the steps and what led up to it and why,” said Simpson.
Police went back to the crime scene on Monday.
They said officers are looking at more evidence and viewing surveillance video in the area.
