TULSA — Mother Road Market reopens with patio online reservation and social distancing protocol.
The Mother Road Market, located off 11th Street and Lewis Avenue, is opening it's patio for dining.
The market's new online reservation system will allow customers to experience contactless ordering and payment, all designed to keep customers and staff healthy.
When our doors closed March 17, Mother Road Market and Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation, the nonprofit founder of Mother Road Market, prioritized merchant revenue generation over our own financial and environmental sustainability goals. Mother Road Market has not charged merchants rent since February and our team spent the last 9 weeks searching for innovative ways to provide the community centered guest experience that Tulsa has grown to love while simultaneously keeping our staff, merchants and guests as safe as possible. I am really excited to test our new contactless system!
Mother Road Market announced a partnership with Tap Tap Eat, a food technology startup out of Edmond, Okla. Officials wanted to test a new concept that allows online reservations, tableside ordering and service with minimal contact.
Staff will be required to answer a short health declaration and wear gloves and masks. Masks will be enforced for customers when they are not seated to keep staff, merchants and other diners safe.
Tables on the patio are placed 8 feet apart and the interior of Mother Road Market remains closed.
Interested guests can make patio reservations here for lunch or dinner beginning Friday, May 22.
Also, to go and curbside ordering is still available for those not ready to dine of the patio.
“We are excited to reach our loyal and new customers with the partial reopening of the Mother Road Market. This is a great chance for us to bring our staff back to work and start regaining financial stability during the pandemic. We've got a lot of seasonal ice creams that we can't wait to share when we welcome our friends back on the patio!
Service on the patio begins on Friday, May 22 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sunday May 24.
