A mother of two men, who are already serving time for the murder of 18-year-old Noelle New, was sentenced Tuesday in connection to the same murder.
Dorothea Butanda was sentenced to nine years in prison for misleading investigators and removing evidence from a DUI crash, which involved her sons Gage and Dakota Shriver.
Investigators said the brothers were drunk when they hit New and her friend Maranda Tally in 2015.
Tally survived the crash.
In December, a judge sentenced the brothers to 25 years in prison for murder.
