TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa Fire Department responded to a multi-alarm fire Friday night at the Village at Brookside apartments near 41st and Peoria.
Andy Little with the Tulsa Fire Department told 2 News three buildings and 33 units were damaged in the blaze.
He said no one was injured.
One of the displaced tenants, Jay Coffin, said his neighbors made sure one another were safe.
"We're like a family here. It's part of the reason I've stayed here so long," Coffin said. "We all know each other, get along, help each other out."
Another resident, Denise Graham, said the blaze escalated in a matter of moments.
"It was moving quickly," said Graham. "I've never seen anything like it."
The American Red Cross is helping those who are impacted and said all displaced tenants found temporary shelter with family or friends.
Fire investigators are working to learn the cause of the fire.
