National Geographic names downtown Tulsa as one of 'friendliest' neighborhoods in US

TULSA — National Geographic's "Traveler" magazine has named downtown Tulsa as one of the "friendliest" neighborhoods in the country.

The magazines lists 28 cities from around the country. The magazine cites Tulsa's "impressive clutch of art deco buildings," the Tulsa Arts District and Guthrie Green.

The magazine used data such as walkability, home affordability, public spaces and prevalence of cafes and restaurants. Data from TripAdvisor and Yelp was also used to determine the list of cities.
