National dog agility championships happening in Tulsa this weekend

TULSA — More than 1,800 of the top dogs in the United States will be competing this weekend in the American Kennel Club agility, obedience and rally national championships.

The event, which is free to attend, is taking place March 15-17 at the Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex and Central Park Hall at Expo Square, located at 4145 East 21st Street.

Dogs will be competing to show their willingness to work through a variety of situations, including obstacle courses, weave poles and more. Dogs will also be competing to show their understanding of commands.

Spectators will be able to meet and greet a variety of breeds of dogs, and learn about responsible pet ownership and training tips.

Dogs that are not entered in competitions are not permitted.
