TULSA, Okla. — UPDATE: The third person under investigation for the 2019 Novel Coronavirus in Oklahoma tested negative, according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Coronavirus outbreak globally has now killed more than 1,000 people. Now, a third person in Oklahoma is under investigation for the virus.

State health officials say they are waiting for the lab test results from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to see if the person is infected.

So far, there are no confirmed cases of the virus in Oklahoma. However, there were some concerns after two residents who recently traveled to China. They tested negative in January.

All the 13 confirmed cases in the U.S. have been directly associated with travel to China or being in close contact with someone who has the coronavirus. Officials say the risk of spreading it in public places remains very low.

Health officials are advising any travelers returning from China to get screened.

Also, officials at Oral Roberts University said a student who's been in quarantine for almost two weeks is doing well and is expected to be released tomorrow.
