New stables complete as part of Vision Tulsa

It took nineteen million dollars to build this barn.

It has three hundred eighty-four sliding door stalls and covers one hundred eighty-three thousand square feet.

One of the key features they wanted to build into the stables was to make it soundproof from the outside.

It's one of the first projects completed as part of Vision Tulsa.

Trainers and horsemen say it's a welcome addition to Expo Square.

They hope the brand new barn will begin to attract horses and owners from around the country, and begin to bring even more revenue to the Tulsa Area.

John Lies, Racing Secretary, tells us "this positions us here at Expo Square to be one of the more competitive facilities in the country. It's an attractive barn to the horsemen not only because it's new, but it's state of the art."
