TULSA, Okla — Tulsa's 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament kicked off this afternoon at Chamberlain Park. The Oklahoma City Thunder were there to put on a combine for kids.

The event is hosted by Tulsa's Gathering Place and the Hardesty Family Foundation. The Gathering Place said this is an event to bring the community together.

"Any opportunity for kids, in my opinion, to get away from the couch or get away from the electronics, just get out in the open environment from a health and wellness point of view, is just a good opportunity," said Tony Moore, executive director of The Gathering Place. "And as you can see, the kids are totally embracing it."

The tournament games start Saturday and go through Sunday. The teams are full, but you can still go watch. There will be food trucks and more.

The tournament is also celebrating updates to the Chamberlain Community Center.
