Norman Police investigating death of a 2-year-old

According to the Norman Police Department, officers responded to a residence on Wednesday for a welfare check on a two-year-old male.

Police located the child and EMSA began CPR, the child was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Signs of possible child abuse and physical trauma were discovered upon arriving at the hospital.

Investigators began searching for Christopher Trent, the mother's live-in-boyfriend.

Trent's vehicle was located in Medicine Park, Oklahoma on Wednesday night.

With the assistance of Park Rangers, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and the Comanche County Sheriff's Office they searched the area of the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge.

Trent was located deceased in the Wichita Mountain Wildlife Refuge, the cause of death has not been released at this time.
