Nowata water treatment plant has been shut down due to flooding and they are requesting water resources from the state.
The Emergency Management assures that the tanks are at capacity and the water currently coming from home faucets is safe.
The treatment plant was shut down because lake levels and water have reached the electrical panels, according to a post from the Nowata Fire Department's Facebook page.
Nowata E.M. is asking people to conserve water for the time being.
