Oklahoma Dept. of Corrections release name of inmate killed in prison cell

MCALESTER — The Oklahoma Department of Corrections has released the name of the inmate killed inside prison Friday night.

Anthony Palma was found unresponsive in his cell after a correctional officer was making a routine security check, the DOC officials said in a statement.

Palma was found dead inside his cell around 7:30 p.m. and was pronounced dead at 8:55 p.m., officials said.

Palma had been serving a life sentence since December 2017 for first-degree murder.
