and last updated

An Oklahoma man returned home Sunday after being stuck in China during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Eddie Evett says he and his wife, a Chinese Native, became stranded because of an incident with the embassy, after they accidentally took his wife and stepson's passports.

After about a week, the American consulate, worked it all out, and put them on a flight home.

He says officials will still have to monitor their health at home.

"They are wanting us to do a two week check, check our temperatures and stuff, make sure no fevers or changes or anything like that, at home."

Eddie says he's grateful to be home, and that he doesn't have to be quarantined in a hospital.
