OWASSO, Okla. — A lockdown at Stone Canyon Elementary School in Owasso will be lifted within the hour after an ongoing investigation involving the Rogers County Sheriff's Office.

Sheriff Scott Walton says at about 4 a.m. on Wednesday, a pursuit of a juvenile suspect ended with a wreck, and officials took the driver into custody.

The driver let two other juveniles out of his vehicle during the incident, and deputies believe those two people are responsible for homes and vehicles being broken into in the area.

The Sheriff's Office has video of two males loose in the Stone Canyon neighborhood, and a helicopter search got underway for the two. The Sheriff's Office says they are ceasing operations and police are standing down in the Stone Canyon area.

Officers will still be present in the area of the school as a safety precaution.

Deputies have a command post set up at Redeemer Chuch, at 55th Street North and NS 193rd East Avenue. A lockdown was placed on the school before 10 a.m.
