OWASSO -- Several Owasso residents found their vehicles stolen or broken into overnight Saturday, according to police.

Owasso Police said three vehicles were stolen and about six were broken into across the city on Friday night.

Investigators said the crimes happened at The Greens, Preston Lake apartments and the Southern Links neighborhood. They said power tools, wallets and money were stolen from the vehicles.

One resident said she'll be taking extra precautions when her vehicle unattended.

“I’m going to make sure I lock it, make sure I don’t leave my purse or anything valuable in there,” Kristin DeMauro said.

Police said all of the victims left the vehicles unlocked, so they want to remind citizens to always lock up vehicles and to not leave valuables inside the vehicle.
