Pawhuska High School student arrested after making threat

PAWHUSKA — Pawhuska High School says a student is in police custody after making a verbal threat.

School officials said in a Facebook post that the threat was made at 7:19 a.m. Monday morning.

Officals said a parent heard the threat and alerted police, who were able to stop the student from harming anyone.

Officials said the student was not at the school when the threat was made.

"The safety of our students and staff is very important," officials said in the post. "We appreciate the swift action of Pawhuska Police Department."
