PONCA CITY — A deacon at the Agape Church of Christ in Ponca City is accused of molesting a 15-year-old girl.
Investigators say the allegations against Jason Hicks date back to August of 2019.
They say the girl was visiting a friend for a sleepover, when she and Hicks were left alone, and he allegedly touched her even after she tried to pull away.
That's when authorities found out about the allegations.
A juvenile had made a report that she'd been inappropriately touched by a friend of her's father.
Church officials say the suspect is still a member of its congregation.
In a statement, they said until the court decides on the guilt or innocence of Mr. Hicks, they have no comment on the incident.
