Recall Roundup: Brand name spices being recalled from salmonella risk

TULSA, Okla. — Safety experts warn consumers to check their pantries this week after a list of spices were recalled for salmonella.

Sauer brands is voluntarily recalling more than two dozen spices and spice blends from its "The Spice Hunter" products. The reason is the potential presence of salmonella. For a full list of those items and the lot numbers, click here.

Among the products involved are organic parsley, dill weed and cilantro.

Red Monkey foods is voluntarily recalling select organic parsley products because a sample tested lot from its supplier, HQO, tested positive for salmonella.

That lot was repacked by Red Monkey into both parsley and herbs “De Provence” products. For lot numbers, click here.

Westinghouse Lighting is recalling its "Great Falls" outdoor ceiling fan model with 52-inch blades. The blades can crack or break, and one injury has been reported.

If you have this fan, stop using it immediately then contact Westinghouse lighting about a free replacement blade kit.

These fans were sold between Oct. of 2019 and Aug. 2020 by Home Depot, Amazon, Wayfair and independent distributors.
