CLAREMORE, Okla. -- A Rogers State University spokesman confirmed to 2 Works for You on Wednesday that the school will be phasing out its EMS program.

University spokesman David Hamby said the school is no longer taking new applicants for the program.

The students who are currently enrolled will be the last to graduate from the two-year program.

Hamby said the program is expensive to operate, and the school does not have enough funding to continue.

RSU says on its website that it has the highest EMT-intermediate pass rate in the state.
