Tally's cafe serves up Tulsa Christmas tradition

Posted
and last updated

It’s a Christmas tradition for one restaurant to keep its doors open.

“It was good to see a friend that I don’t get to see often and we came over here and I knew it would be open,”

Tally’s is known for its chicken fried steak, but on Christmas Day, you can count on some turkey and all the fixings.

Hustle and bustle has been the norm for the last three decades of Christmas at Tally’s, which had both locations open. Servers are working hard to keep everyone fed.

”It’s crazy. It definitely is,” employee Rasonya Ratliff said. “Christmas for instance, I get here at 7 and it’s non-stop all day long!”

Tally’s south location is now closed for the night. The flagship cafe on 11th Street is open until 10 p.m.
