Tulsa County Sheriff's Office arrested a suspect in connection to a 1990's cold case.
They arrested Tommy Edward Harris in connection to the death of Kim McVey.
It happened May 16, 1992 in Owasso, Okla. Investigators say McVey's body was found outside a known drug house. They said both Harris and McVey as well as some others stayed at the house.
In 1992, deputies say Joe Green, who is now deceased, went to the house and got in a fight over a bad drug deal. Deputies say a gunfight ensued and Green took McVey outside by headlock, to protect himself. Deputies say Harris threw $300 and some drugs out to Green and then fired a shot, hitting McVey in the left temple.
Deputies say Harris later brought McVey's body into the home and then placed her behind the shed on the property, where she was later found. Harris told several witnesses that he had killed McVey, deputies say.
TCSO arrested Harris in Skiatook on Thursday, May 14. McVey's family is out of state, but has been notified of the arrest made in the case.
