MUSKOGEE, Okla — One event in Muskogee is turning back the clock.

This is the first weekend for the 24th annual Oklahoma Renaissance Festival at The Castle.

It's an opportunity to see what life in England hundreds of years ago was like here in Oklahoma

Some activities included jousting and paper making.

The "Steward of the castle," who is actually a pre-school and primary school teacher by trade, says you can learn from the past.

“History I think is incredibly important. If people learn and we don't make the same mistakes over and over, and this is one way to get people interested in history,” Jeff Hiller said.

You still have a chance to check out the renaissance festival.
