MUSKOGEE, Okla. — Muskogee Public Schools police were notified Friday after a threat was made by a student toward other students.
Administrators at Alice Robertson Junior High School immediately identified the student behind the threat and began investigating the matter in conjunction with police. Officials said the necessary steps were taken to determine that the threat did not place anyone in imminent danger.
“I appreciate that students felt comfortable communicating their concerns to staff. This is just another example of the ownership culture we are trying to create throughout the district,” said Dr. Jarod Mendenhall, Superintendent of Muskogee Public Schools. “We emphasize if a student sees something to say something.”
The school asks students to report anything suspicious to school administration.
