TULSA -- Police have released body cam footage between an officer and a suspect at a midtown Quiktrip on July 3.

John Chatman is accused of shooting a police officer at a Quiktrip last week before officers fired back - hitting him.
Chatman and a woman in the car with him were pulled over for driving a car with a tag registered to a different vehicle.

As officers asked him to give information and provide ID, he refused.

Officers warned they would be using a pepper ball launcher to de-escalate the situation.

At that time, the video shows Chatman responded with gun fire.

During this time a sergeant was struck in the leg.

Eventually, Chatman was located in the car and officers convinced him to leave the vehicle.

Officers on scene gave medical assistance to Chatman and the sergeant.
