TULSA — The Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless on Tuesday held the groundbreaking for its new $16 million expansion and renovations at the facility.
The expansion of the facility, at 415 West Archer Street, will enable the facility to continue to provide health clinic services and personalized case management to assist with rehousing and other basic needs.
The facility's goal to raise $16 million started in 2017, and the first donor was the Anne & Henry Zarrow foundation, which donated $5 million. Just a few weeks ago, the Day Center reached its fundraising goal.
Each day, the Day Center serves and average of about 105 people. In 2018, the facility served 140,000 people.
