TULSA — Tulsa has more robberies than any other city in the state, according to a new report.
According to YourLocalSecurity.com, a security company that aims to provide tools to build a safer home environment, Tulsa came in as No. 1 as the most-robbed city in the state.
Robberies are defined as “taking or attempting to take anything of value from the care, custody, or control of a person or persons by force or threat of force or violence and/or putting the victim in fear.”
According to the company's data, Tulsa experienced 964 robberies in 2017.
Baltimore, Maryland was reported to have the highest per capita number of robberies of any city.
The report covers cities with at least 20,000 residents.
