TULSA, Okla. — Officer Aurash Zarkeshan surprised the Tulsa Police Department with a video and asked them to share it with Tulsa.
In the video on the TPD Facebook page, Zarkeshan sits in a wheelchair to give an update on his recovery.
On June 29, 2020, Zarkeshan and Sergeant Craig Johnson were shot during a routine traffic stop in Tulsa. Johnson died the next day from his injuries.

In the surprise video Zarkeshan said he is able to stand and walk comfortably, and his therapist said he is progressing quickly.
I feel very lucky to have such amazing community support. Thank you all for everything you've done for me and my family.
Zarkeshan ends the video by saying his family and himself appreciate all that Tulsa has done for them.
