TULSA — Tulsa Parks is offering programs for students who are in virtual, distance learning or home school for the beginning of the 2020-21 academic year.
With several schools returning in either virtual or distance learning environments, due to the coroanvirus pandemic, parents are looking for other options to help with their child's curriculum.
Tulsa Parks is offering hands-on, in-person activities in three different categories: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), fitness and art.
The program will be held every Tuesday and Thursday, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., at Reed Park, and will last for four weeks. Students will rotate between each category for 45 minutes each. On Tuesdays, students will rotate between fitness and STEM, and on Thursdays, students will rotate between fitness and art.
Session dates are listed below:
- Sept. 8 through Oct. 1
- Oct. 6 through Oct. 29 (no classes will be held on Oct. 15)
- Nov. 3 through Dec. 3 (no classes will be held from Nov. 24 - 26)
Parents must register their children by Sept. 1, Sept. 29 and Oct. 27 for the program.
Tulsa Parks program costs:
- All sessions - $45
- Fitness - $30 (2 days/week)
- STEM - $20 (1 day /week)
- Art - $20 (1 day/week)
