One of the last known survivors of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre got a special 105th birthday wish.
With the help of The Terence Crutcher Foundation and Revitalize T-Town, the home of Ms. Lessie Randle was restored.
They threw a house warming party and cook-out to celebrate the occasion.
The remodel only took about three and a half weeks from start to finish.
One of the organizers tells us it's reminiscent of the past.
Tiffany Crutcher, with the Terence Crutcher Foundation, says, "I want her to see what to see what restorative justice looks like. And this is an example of what my community was about back in 1921. They rebuilt, or they built a community that was one of the most. prolific and resilient communities in the country."
Crutcher says being a part of it honors her own great-grandmother, who fled the Tulsa Race Massacre back in 1921.
