TULSA — A Tulsa woman was arrested in connection to abusing her 1-month-old baby, according to court documents.
Court documents say on Oct. 7, 2019 a child abuse report was filed after a baby was admitted to Saint Francis with severe diaper rash and facial bruising.
The baby lived with her mother, Lea Robinson, and, according to documents, sustained her injuries at their home.
Documents say Robinson changed her story several times during interviews with DHS and officers, and none of the stories were consistent with the baby's injuries.
Later, Robinson admitted to punching her 1-month-old baby out of frustration because the baby would not stop crying. Also, Robinson admitted to giving the baby a bath and admitted the water was too hot.
When the baby was examined, the doctor noted that burn marks on the baby's buttocks were consistent with being submerged in hot water. The doctor also noted that additional bruising to the baby's face was consistent with a bite mark.
Lea Robinson was arrested and is being held on a complaint of Child Abuse by Injury. Robinson's bond has been set at $50,000.
