TULSA — If you have plans to enjoy the gorgeous weather in Green Country this weekend, make sure to add Helmerich Park to your list of places to go!
Officials with the City of Tulsa announced today that the construction at Helmerich Park is complete.
The park is set to reopen, once the construction fencing is removed, on the afternoon of Friday, March 6, officials say.
The park includes new playground equipment for kids ages 2-12.
The new nautical look includes a pirate ship theme for the playgrounds, officials say. Also, a new "adult exercise facility" has been added to the park!
Not only does it include an exercise facility for adults, the park now has a new picnic area complete with barbecue grills and picnic tables.
Funding for the park came from Improve Our Tulsa Sales Tax, officials say.
Helmerich Park is located at 7301 Riverside Drive in Tulsa.
