PONCA CITY, Okla. — Tulsa Public Schools officials announced that a head coach, an assistant coach and a player will serve suspensions after a brawl broke out at the end of the East Central vs. Ponca City girls basketball game on Tuesday.

District officials said East Central head coach Gary Pitts and a player will serve a two-game suspension. Gary's daughter and assistant coach Bria Pitts will be suspended for the rest of the school year.

TPS said an incident occurred at the end of the game that warranted an investigation.

District officials said at least one to possibly four spectators will be banned from all TPS sporting events after they stepped onto the court.

"The coaching staff and team will participate in training to ensure that each individual team member and the coaching staff understands the level of expectation of the Tulsa Public Schools and the OSSAA for sportsmanship," TPS said in a news release. "The Tulsa Public School apologizes for the incident that occurred and wants to convey that sportsmanship is a priority for the district and for the athletics teams that represent the district."
