Two Jenks Public Schools employees test positive for COVID-19, others in quarantine

JENKS — Two Jenks Public Schools employees test positive for COVID-19, according to school officials.

One teacher and one support staff received positive test results for coronavirus, said officials.

An additional ten staff members are in quarantine for 14 days because they came into close contact with family or outside people who had tested positive for the virus.

Jenks Public Schools does not have any students on campus yet, so officials said there is no danger to kids.

The Jenks district is starting the 2020-21 school year with distance learning.

Officials changed the start date for the year from Aug. 19 to Aug. 24.
