TULSA, Okla. — On Friday, the Tulsa Police Department took swift action against two non-essential businesses that were not following the mayor's guidelines.

TPD cited two massage parlors, Lily's Pad and Forrest Massage, for continuing services.

Captain Luke Sherman says there's more to risk than only being cited.

"It's not just the risk of being cited," Sherman said. "It's the risk of potentially losing your ability to operate within the confines of the city of Tulsa."

Sherman also says the purpose of the strict policy is to protect our community.

"In the issue of the serious of what we're dealing with and how quick this virus can spread, we're just trying to minimize that," Sherman said.

Sherman says the businesses are given a warning before they are cited.
