According to deputies, 30-year-old Brian Benedict was taken into custody at the home where he's accused of killing his father, James Benedict.
Deputies said what Benedict's mother found in the shed is what led to his capture.

At a press conference Tuesday, deputies said they used boats, ATVs and a helicopter to help search for Benedict.
"We rely on every resource we have. Today is the absolute physical search. Yesterday was more utilization of the tracking dog. That’s a lot slower. Today is more of a mass search to everything that’s got a motor on it that you can visualize," said Rogers County Sheriff, Scott Walton.
According to authorities, the victim was found on the floor of his house around 10 p.m. Sunday by his wife. The victim had been shot. Benedict is the victim's son.
School was canceled in Verdigris both Monday and Tuesday due to the search.
The district said "the decision was made with the safety of all students in mind."
Benedict's old school friend, Amanda Inman, said she never thought Benedict was capable of such a thing.
“I was honestly shocked. He’s really quiet. He really kept to himself," Inman said. "I mean he never was rude, never cussed. I mean really never did anything.”
Verdigris Police were joined by Rogers County Sheriff's Office and Mayes County Sheriff's Office in their search of Benedict.
