TULSA -- Vic Regalado secured his title at the Tulsa County sheriff on Tuesday, beating out his Democrat counterpart.

Regalado took over in April after he won against Democrat Rex Berry in the general election.
Since then Regalado has operated in Tulsa as the acting sheriff.

Regalado’s campaign has promoted a “no nonsense and direct” approach in his career. He has a history working as a homicide detective and supervised a Special Investigations Gang Unit, served on the Tulsa Police SWAT team for nearly a decade.
