VINITA, Okla. – The teen accused of first degree murder in the death of his stepmother is now being charged as an adult.
Koalten Glenn Orr, 14, allegedly told authorities that he shot his stepmother because she “sexually abuses him and that he was tired of the abuse.”
Craig County officials went on to report that Glen hid one of his parent’s gun “for safety” and one morning when his stepmother, Laura Hendrix, 38, was walking towards him, he shot her and then left.
When authorities asked Orr if he felt as though Hendrix was going to sexually abuse him, he said “I thought so, but that’s not a very good reason, is it?” Documents reveal that Orr told authorities he was also currently in counseling for anger issues.
Orr went on to tell authorities where the gun was located and confessed that after he shot Hendrix, he did not call 911.
