TULSA, Okla. — With so many jobs lost due to the coronavirus pandemic, 2 Works for You is making sure you have the resources you need to find work.
This morning we are highlighting the Oklahoma Finance Agency, and the two 'Rental Assistance Specialist' positions they have open.
These jobs would help elderly, disabled, and low income families find homes.
The Oklahoma Finance Agency services 77 different counties in Oklahoma, so every day may be different.
The positions require a four year degree, or two to six years of related experience in social service, or housing.
The Human Resources Director Tamara Steele says people from many professional backgrounds would be good for these roles.
She says if you have experience in customer service, be sure to let them know.
“You definitely have to be able to work with a variety of people, have an open mind, and kind of be able to Leave any biases you have at the door,” Steele says.
Steele says focusing on the job description is important before applying. And be prepared to work as a team, they have nearly 100 employees, and everyone works together to get the job done.
